In November 2025, Foreign Experts Society(FORES)hosted the FORES (2021-2025) Academic Salon Night at the Kempinski Hotel in Beijing to celebrate the fifth anniversary of China's first "International scholars club" featuring foreign experts in China. In the same month,Professor Stelmakh Oleksandr, member of FORES, a Ukrainian scientist and a doctoral supervisor at Beijing Institute of Technology, was honored as a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering,Showing the international talent drive brought by foreign experts and scholars to China's high-quality development and institutional opening-up has been highly recognized by the Chinese society and praised globally.

    The FORES group was founded in 2021, with members of foreign experts and scholars in China, covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, Professional fields such as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, materials science, geology, astronomy, meteorology, environmental science, energy science and medical health, urban planning, international affairs, international economic and trade, and sustainable development include more than 10 winners of the Chinese Government Friendship Award and foreign academicians of Chinese Academy of Sciences and China Academy of Engineering . The 2021 Chinese Government Friendship Award list includes two FORES members: Alberto Cenejo, a Mexican metallurgist and professor at Beijing University of Science and Technology, and Marie-Luce Chevaier, a Belgian-French tectonic geologist and researcher at the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences(CAGS).

    The initiator and convener of FORES is Mr. James Jao (RAO Jiren), the former director of the New York City urban planning committee and the master of international urban planning. As one of the first American experts in the field of urban planning in China, he has contributed to the Beijing International Metropolis Planning, the CBD development vision and the regional planning of dozens of large and medium-sized cities in China. Referring to the original intention of proposing the establishment of FORES (Foreign Experts Society), Mr.Jao said that China's globalization process benefited from international experience, international enterprises and international experts. He decided to dedicate his life to serving and contributing to China.

    As organizer of the salon, Dr. Qin Gang, Director General of ICS( International City Strategic Development&Cooperation Center) and senior fellow of institute of world information,State information center,hosted the salon and gave a speech entitled "Review and Prospect - FORES 2021-2025." In his speech, Qin Gang proposed,“Entering a new era, Chinese modernization requires the participation of global talents and international people. FORES brings together world-class experts and scholars to witness the openness, inclusiveness and diversity of Chinese society. ICS will continue to play its strengths in the field of sustainable development of international cities and BRICS cities, implementing global initiatives, connecting global talents, promoting city cooperation and promoting mutual learning among civilizations. We hope FORES will become FOREST of global talents”。
